Hi! I’m really excited to read The Taking, and it looks amazing! Before I start, I just wanted to ask if there’s any strong language, sexual content, or other content warnings I should be aware of? Thanks so much!

J.M. Easterly Hi Brynn! So happy to hear you’re looking forward to reading it, and thanks so much for reaching out. I’d say the book is fairly mild overall. There is some light cursing, but no explicit sexual content on the page, though it’s briefly referenced in a couple of scenes. There are also fight scenes and a death, but neither are described in a graphic way. The story does mention curses and witches, but I tried to keep it reader-friendly while still capturing the tone of a medieval setting. Hope that helps!
