I am currently working on a sequel to Key Witness. Navajo police officer, Emily Etcitty takes full stage as she tries to solve the mystery of missing young Navajo girls who are celebrating their entrance into puberty in a ceremony called "Kinaalda", the working title of the book. I am halfway finished and having a blast.

A great thing about being a writer is being able to set your own hours.Of course, being able to work from home or wherever you choose is also nice. Additionally, I really enjoy being able to plot the course of a story. I think the best thing is knowing when you have connected with a reader and touched an emotion.

I set a goal to write at least one page each day, even if my mind is a blank or if what I write is terrible. I find that if I can write through the block, it is much easier to move on.
