Don't sit down to write until you have an idea. If the ideas dry up while you are writing go and find something else to do. Walk the dog, make a sandwich but all the while be thinking about what you have written, come at it from a different angle. Put yourself in your characters head. Only you can get them out of the situation you put them in.
