I feel some very strong moments in this poem. I believe the speaker is fluent, articulate and philosophical. Use of repetitious article of The is interesting. The 'stars' tongues' reminds me of F.G. Lorca's line about the stars' eyelids being blue. Thanks so much for posting! Do you read a lot of American contemporary poetries?

Anahit Arustamyan Dear Stephen. Thank you very much for your beautiful opinion. I always read a lot of American contemporary poetries. I have many American poet friends. I also reviewed their books. My favorite American poets are Alberto Palomo, Chris Hemingway, Jenny Andrews, Joseph Spence, Patrick Daniel Read, Christine Tabaka, Allen Baswell and many others. I would love to read your works too.

LIFE'S REPLY

The spirit is a script that lies between the lines.
The phantom seems mystic to the living ones.
The angel was a human once upon a time.
Life paints a canvas with a destiny's brush.
How many brushes might belong to life?
The sky smiles so do I.
The sky cries so do I.
The sky smiles with the sun's eyes.
Doesn't it talk with the stars' tongues?
Maybe yes, but the voices don't arrive.
I ask God what the phantom is like.
O no, this question must be given to life.
I ask God what life is like.
Past, present and future seem to be zigzag lines.
Which is mine?
I dare to ask life.
