Doris Nickles As she walked through the woods, she listened to the haunting howl of the wind; then, she heard a coyote. Her sadness began to disappear; her crying changed to fear as the moon-lit darkness showed a shadow moving in the woods following her.
Doris Nickles I have traveled to the East Coast to visit Anne of Green Gables and see the home of Elizabeth Maude Montgomery. I went on a tour and enjoyed the island's rich history and her life story of getting published. I had always dreamed of going and finally had my chance last spring.

I enjoy reading and hearing the comments about what was written, good or bad, as it makes me a better writer with the next writing adventure.
Doris Nickles Stay in school, learn your English and grammar lessons, be studious, and overcome your weaknesses with studies. I didn't pay much attention and realized my bad habits when editing began. I had to add some writing programs to my computer, which paid off in time-saving reviews. Also, I learned to research. I love research, and I learn something new every day.
Doris Nickles I like to go hiking to clear the clutter from my mind. I take my camera, and I take nature shots; sometimes, I paint, and I experiment with themes and imagination. I might write some theme ideas on paper, toss them in a hat, and draw them one at a time. I start by doing short stories. I will watch some movies I haven't seen but was interested in. Basically, I keep busy, keep my mind clear of worry, and take care of business. This year was riddled by medical issues that needed to be cared for. I also like to travel, and I did a lot of that this year. I like conversing with strangers. It's very interesting to get to know them.

Doris Nickles I had a Stocker from the age of fifteen, and it ended when I was married. he tried to break into our home; we were home, and the police captured him. He went to Jail from that.

Doris Nickles I just allow my fantasy thoughts and ideas to creatively flow. I make notes throughout my day's thoughts on storylines for future writing. I also research criminal reports and investigations and carry them through to the courts. I have a very vivid imagination. Also being cooped up indoors over covid really helped me to get ideas. My ideas are from real life but the stories and characters are all fictional, kind of like Law and Order.
Doris Nickles All the crime news covered in my city gave me the ideas for my imaginative fictional stories Based on two detective characters I developed from watching Different police shows.
