Dan Metcalf The Curse of the Cairo Cat came from a trip to the British Museum and a painting that my neighbours brought back from a trip to Egypt. It was of a statue of a golden cat, and the idea simply popped into my head. From there, Lottie was born and has lived in my head ever since!
