Giselle Green The idea for DEAR DAD was a combination of something I read in a newpaper - an article about a guy who temporarily played along with the idea that he was someone's 'dad' for the duration of a plane flight - and watching the film 'Sleepless in Seattle'. The latter made me think about how two unrelated strangers might be brought together through the medium of one other person - such as a child looking for a parent.
