The world of Harmony created by Jayne Krentz. The place sounds magical and amazing, starting cars and appliances with crystals. But Rainforest Island minus the monsters sounds very beautiful.

I'm currently reading Motherhood is Murder (Maternal Instincts Mystery #2)
by Diana Orgain. I find her quirky and fun. I probably have other books to read but I'm busy working on my next books so my reading time is down!

Every day is a new mystery. Why is my computer running so slow? Villains have broken into my network and are carrying out their dastardly deeds from my own laptop!
What lurks in the night, banging on doors, running in the streets, or climbing on my roof?

My writer's block usually has to do with my time constraints and stress. When my life is too busy or too many things happen at once, I find it difficult to write. Usually I need to sit down and do free writing where I write whatever comes to mind, a rant, a plea, a prayer. It all helps clear my mind to allow me to write what I need to write.

My grandmother was a writer. She wrote many poems. When she was in the hospital with colon cancer she couldn't write anything down. She didn't have access to a pen and paper. It was a long time ago. She said she couldn't sleep because the words were jumbled in her brain shouting to be released.
The best thing about being a writer is getting all the words out of my head onto paper. It's so relaxing!

Recently my neighbor died. It was a sad occasion. The talk among the other neighbors disclosed he was the fourth owner to have died in the house in the last 20 years. My imagination just took over. - Future book - House with a Deadly View

I'm currently editing a new devotional, Be Strong and Courageous, I wrote in 2013 just before the many changes in my life. The changes included three funerals, advancing dementia, moving two sets of parents closer to family, one a year, loss of my husband's job, subsequent sale of our home, moving to a new city and climate, dividing up our home's belongings and leaving two children behind to live on their own (adults), a grandson, then tiny family moving in with us (grandson, son-in-law, and daughter), loss of pets, and the struggle to trust one step at a time.
I'm also creating a parenting book, Love and Respect, which comes with an exercise to help parents learn to model love and respect. In between, I'm learning to edit my Planting Flowers series. I'm excited about these suspense novelettes because they center around a group of woman learning to do life together in their bible study.

For my devotionals, the inspiration is my daily life. I'm in need of God and his peace every day.
