Hi Elouise,
Getting Brightside published was quite a long process. I had originally written the book in third person point of view but then I discovered Tom Spanbauer's Dangerous Writing class and realized I had to rewrite the entire book in first person. The rewrite took quite some time but I'm so glad that I made the change.
I'm glad you're enjoying the book so far. Hopefully it won't disappoint and you'll like Beyond Brightside just as much.

Lock myself in a room with heavy metal music, marijuana, and caffeine. That usually does the trick. Unless I forget my computer and notepad, then I'm just angry because I'm locked in a room unable to write.
