Suzie O'Connell Middle-earth, specifically Rivendell or the Shire. Both are peaceful and idyllic—great places to curl up and read a book.
Suzie O'Connell Chronologically, it is set before "Mountain Angel". I had no plans to write Nick and Beth's story (Nick being the eldest Hammond brother), but enough fans asked for it that I figured I'd better get it written :) Technically, I guess you could say it is the new first Northstar Romance.
Suzie O'Connell Hi Christine,
The deal with "Forgotten Angel" is that I had a complete outline and had written close to half the book… and hated it. It took off in directions I didn't want it to and that didn't fit the series, so I scrapped what I had and started over. The goal is to have it finished by Thanksgiving and available by Christmas. Thanks for asking!

Suzie
Suzie O'Connell Read a lot and write a lot. Accept that even the best book out there is not perfect, and focus on writing the best book you can rather than on writing the perfect book. Be willing to learn and grow and better your craft… and do so. Grow a thick skin, especially if you plan to publish, because there will be people who will gleefully trash your book and because not everyone will like your book. Take constructive criticism and use it to improve your books and your skill. Ignore the useless, petty, and destructive criticism. Join a writing group of people who are constructive and supportive.
Suzie O'Connell Ha! Lately, I haven't been dealing with it so well, though really, it isn't writer's block. The story and characters and words are there, but I'm finding it difficult to sit down to transcribe them all into words others can read. Usually, I have several methods for dealing with writer's block:

- Write with the old pen and notebook
- Write anything, just to get the words flowing
- Go for a walk or a drive
- Visualize the scene I need to write and jot some notes about what I see
Suzie O'Connell "Everything is story fodder." I used to have that in the header of my website because it's true. Everything I see, do, hear, etc. is inspiration. Honestly, I'm not sure I ever stop writing because I'm writing even when I'm not putting words to paper or computer screen. In other words, everything inspires me, and the stream is constant.
Suzie O'Connell Do I have to pick just one thing? Well, all right. My fans. I have some of the most amazing, funny, and wonderful fans, and I love getting to know them.

I also love the freedom of being able to work from anywhere and the ability to do what I love (to clarify, I can't NOT write… so it's more than something I DO; it is, rather, who I am).
Suzie O'Connell The idea for "Wild Angel" came about way back when, back when I was writing the first draft of "Summer Angel". I wanted to know how Luke dealt with the aftermath of the tragedies that occur in "Summer Angel".
Suzie O'Connell I am currently working on "Once Burned", which is the sequel to "Twice Shy" and the second book in the "Hammond Brothers" spin-off series. This series is part of the same collection as the "Northstar Angels" books, but follows a different family.
