The whole Oracus trilogy is founded from an initial desire to write. I chose fantasy because, as well as it being my favourite genre to read, it requires a certain creativity that I seem to possess. My storylines are a mixture of what I enjoyed as a child and what I felt was missing in the stories that I read as a child.

Simple. I enjoy it. I look forward to starting the next chapter.

The third, and final, book in the Oracus series. There's no specific date but I'm confident that it will be complete by Christmas. If you're interested in a first edition copy then please drop me a message.

The obvious cliché - don't give up. If you enjoy writing then don't stop. If you think you're good at writing then don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. If you don't think you're good at writing then you'll get better with practise. Stick with it. Persist.

The lie-ins, the frequent opportunities to nestle into the corner sofa with a laptop on the knee, and the closeness of my work station to the kettle and the food in the fridge. It's a huge surprise that I'm not a fat slob.

Always have another book on the go, whether it's a short story or something more intense. If you put your mind to something else for a while, you'll always come back and wonder why you were having so much trouble the first time round.
