I'm working on the final draft of So the Doves with my fabulous editor Hetha at Bluemoose Books... I'm at the stage where I'm questioning EVERYTHING about the story! But I'm lucky to have a great editorial team. I'm also just finishing up a short story for Somesuch Stories which is out in October...

Read everything you can get your hands on, keep writing, don't take no for an answer and be prepared to make a mess. You can't create anything if you expect perfection... just write!

I just keep writing... anything. I set myself exercises (like writing a scene from a characters childhood, or a monologue), take notes when I'm out and about, people watch.
I also give myself a break. Maybe I'm too tired, maybe I just need to replenish my poor brain, so then I read, watch films, walk, hang out with friends and family... read some more. I find reading always helps (with most things)
