I had writer's block for ten years after I wrote my first book "A Thug's Redemption". I think I am experiencing a little bit of that now. The way I try to deal with it is by reading over what I've been working on recently to see if something comes to me. If it doesn't, I don't force it. I just wait until it's time for me to put pen to paper again

The best thing about being a writer is it allows me to escape things that are going on in my life. I can create characters and have them do and say what I want them to do without scrutiny. Also, knowing that readers are enjoying my work and look forward to seeing what else I can entertain them with. Being a writer gives me the courage to speak through my pen when I can't verbally find the words. Being a writer grants me freedom.

My advices to aspiring writers is to be as original as possible, research marketing and promotions and do not rely entirely on social networking and word of mouth. Writing the book is the easy part. Marketing it and promoting it takes a lot of work, research and patience. Also, be very sure that your novel is fully edited. A book that has been poorly edited can be a major turn off no matter how good the story is.

Right now I am currently working on an BDSM novel that tells the story of a Femdom Mistress who profits off of the fetish lifestyle. But her online persona begins to cross-over into her real life when someone from her past discovers the secret fetish lifestyle she has been living.

I was inspired by my teachers and some of my classmates. While my teachers enjoyed my essays and short stories for class assignments, my friends and classmates loved my poetry and my raps. The urged me to write more. Their energy is what fueled my desire to write more

My latest book Obsessive Intimacies came when I was 18 years old and pregnant with my daughter. I was laying in the bed one night and I had this flash of a scene where a woman was catching her husband cheating with a white woman in his office. I could see every detail as though it were a movie playing in my mind
