I've just finished my second "Gothic" novel. It's called Sleep Not My Wanton and it's set in the Victorian period - very dark! I'm looking for an agent. I've just started working on a third novel, also Gothic - and with van Gogh as a central character! I'm also proofing. The Little French wanted a 'de-luxe' version of Bizarre Fables, and so I'm re-proofing my text and Heather's touching up old images and illustrations and creating new ones. It should be stunning, when it's out.

When I'm really into writing a new novel, or a poem, I'm in another place. Sometimes, for instance, I can actually hear dialogue in my head, and I just have to get it down! It sounds crazy, I know, but it amazes me how many folks are dwelling in my head, all wanting to be characters on a page - and each one, usually, is nothing like me! I sometimes find that stimulating, but also spooky on occasions..
