I based the book INCOMPLETE SENTENCE loosely on the true story of Ira Einhorn, the infamous Unicorn Killer, who was able to elude capture for many years, even though he'd been found guilty of the brutal murder of his girlfriend. I changed some aspects of the plot, of course, but much of the story, especially at the beginning, is quite close to the actual events.
