Emma Warner-Reed I love the thought that a child might be excited by my ideas and inspired to read because of my writing.
Emma Warner-Reed I came up with the idea for a Dotty a couple of years ago and mapped out the first book, but then had to abandon it due to my other writing committments. I finally sat down to write it in February of his year.
Emma Warner-Reed I take my inspiration from all sorts of things: my own childhood experiences; friends I had as a child; the children of friends I have now; observations and memories of all that goes on around me really.
Emma Warner-Reed I tend not to suffer from writer's block, so much as I suffer from interrupting children! If I'm struggling with the wording of a passage, I usually just go and make a cup if milky coffee and come back to it duly armed...
Emma Warner-Reed There's no such thing as "can't"!
Emma Warner-Reed I'm just putting the last pre-publication finishing touches on Dotty at the moment, whilst jotting down snippets of the sequel which I plan to write in the spring.
