I love that your characters have such unusual names. It helps me to remember if I had read a particular book yet ! How do you come up with your character names and why do you use unusual names ??
Sandra Brown Sometimes I save names that I find. I even have friends who finds unusual names for me and save them.

What is your favorite genre to write ? I loved Rainwater, and I also love your Suspense & romance books. I've never come across an author talented enough to cross genres as successfully as you. (You are me if I could write) Thank you for sharing your stories with us. Thank you for the tears, the characters that roll around my mind all day and the rollercoaster rides of suspense.
Sandra Brown I love writing suspense but if I ever found another story like Rainwater, that just called to me, I'd certainly write it.

every book you write is so well written, I feel the heat, the breeze, the smell of the grass, as if I'm actually living there. May I ask how long it takes to research as well as write your books? They are so real. And I have to say i enjoy your suspense novels the best. My daughter who won't read actually asks for dauily updates on what is happening! So this is a huge thank you for all the enjoyment you given us!

Thank you! I spend about six months writing each book. Nine months if you include the multiple rounds of edits, copy edits and page proofs.

I just finished DEADLINE for the second time. By writing one book a year, I can tell the difference in your books. They are much more "involved" in that you develope characters, the plot, and never boring. Some authors have started writing so many books a year that they are losing what they had years ago. I love your books and always look forward to your next story. When will be get the next one?

Hi, I've checked these titles (French Silk, Envy & Breathe of Scandal) several times on Amazon and they are still not available for purchase via Kindle in my part of the world (Africa). Are they published under different titles/names maybe...?
Sandra Brown No, they're not. I believe the publisher is Hodder but I'll have to check with my agent.

Sandra Brown Picking a favorite book would be like picking a favorite child!
I read many authors--everything from historical fiction to historical romance to steamy contemporary romance to thrillers. Lee Child and Elizabeth Hoyt are two of my favorites.

Sandra Brown Write the best darn book possible and then write the best darn query letter possible. Writing query letters is an artform. Do your research. Don't query agents who don't represent your chosen genre. Also, check out the #MSWL hashtag on Twitter. It can be very helpful!

Sandra Brown Inspiration...it's my job. That's my inspiration. Don't get me wrong. I have the best job in the world: I get paid to daydream. But it's also hard work.
As for a favorite, that's like picking a favorite child--impossible!
