Jeremy Vaeni In a rare moment of clarity, everyone on Earth recognized that we were living in a cage called "free will." We carried on with our decisions.
Jeremy Vaeni Isn't it odd how we barely move around this world and yet we fantasize about exploring fictional worlds? What am I gonna do there, look around, get winded, and then sit on a couch and watch alien Netflix until my time is up?
Jeremy Vaeni Still reading Carl Jung's, "The Red Book" and Jonathan White's, "In Hitler's House." They will take a while.
Jeremy Vaeni Goodreads won't let me say, so I guess it shall remain a mystery.
Jeremy Vaeni I never get writer's block. I get "procrastinate unless the deadline. Oh, no deadline? Indefinitely, then."
Jeremy Vaeni The moment when it all comes together and you read it back and realize it's over. You've created this mini universe as perfectly as you can and now it's time to send it off for readers to breathe new life into it.
Jeremy Vaeni Here is the paradoxical balance you must keep:

1.) Write for yourself, not an audience, and the audience will find you. (Translation: stay true to yourself. Don't try too hard to please others or that will come through in the writing.)

2.) Remember that you're writing for an audience. Just because you think you're a genius doesn't mean everyone else will. Get out of your head and be willing to give up your work to the reader. (Translation: you can only do #1 if you know you don't suck. Unfortunately, you don't get to be the judge of that.)

Jeremy Vaeni A book I affectionately call "Aloha Norton Is Waiting" - but I'm almost certain that will not be the title. It's the true story of an alleged alien abductee that UFO researchers don't want you to hear. I'm aiming for the mainstream with this one, not ufology.
Jeremy Vaeni It usually comes as a terribly annoying and persistent urge right after I've finished whatever I was previously working on. It goes something like this: "That's it. I'll never write again. I'm sick of it." And then I launch into the next project.
Jeremy Vaeni Into The End is my most recently published book. I wrote the original draft back in high school as part of a creative awakening, but also a form of therapy to deal with some rather jarring experiences I linked to "alien abductions." That's in quotes because I think the term is outdated. It doesn't accurately describe anything.
