John Urbancik I ignore it.

Writer's block is one of those things that tends to be most noticeable when you notice it. If you ignore it, or deny it, you can push on -- usually.

Sometimes, however, you've got to go outside, get the blood moving, watch a movie, have some chocolate, or read something entirely different. Or just take a shower. All sorts of mind-nuggets get loosened in the shower, and after it's over you smell better.
John Urbancik My fifth novel, STALE REALITY, just came out, and in about 6 months my sixth novel, THE CORPSE AND THE GIRL FROM MIAMI is due. After that, the re-publication of DARKWALKER and the debut of DARKWALKER 2: INFERNO.

All those books are written already. Right now, I'm writing a contemporary fantasy set in a city in the desert.

And I expect to release InkStains Series 2 in 2017 (while simultaneously writing InkStains Series 3).
John Urbancik A better question would be how can I control the constant bombardment of inspiration? A phrase someone says, a word in a book, a piece of art, the fluttering of a butterfly, the tattoo on the shoulder of a server at a restaurant ... anything and everything can offer inspiration. The real trick is to separate the useful inspirations from the bad, and intermingling them in inspiring ways.
