The very best professors of writing are writers who have come before you. Study widely, in your favorite genres and across all genres. Start a critique group with other writers. Lift each other up as you learn. Most of all, learn to fall in love with the process, not the product or the attention you get from being a writer. Oh, and write. A lot. Like 1 million words and then some.
