I look at events and people both past and present to inspire both stories and characters. Storytelling is about a problem and a resolution, but it's the path between those that makes for a good story. With events around the world happening every day, there's no shortage of inspiration for an action/adventure thriller writer.

The best thing is being able to bring stories to life. I often have a thought about a possible story based on things and events happening all of the time. Once it's in my head, I need to write about it and build a world that shows a possible resolution. Much like solving a problem, see the issues that created the problem, then trace the possible paths to resolve it. Inevitably there are things that happen along the way that push and pull that resolution in different directions. That's what's fun about writing.
