There's a common kind of creature that always has its legs hanging exposed through the outside surface of its home. It only get slightly annoyed when you pull some of those legs off with your comb in your morning routine.

There's no one way to do this. Just be sure you tell the story you want to tell in the way you wish it to be told. Don't change something purely because it's not what other people do (although by that same token don't simply shut all advice out; take guidance in how to make it good but don't let it become someone else's tale in the process).

Perhaps a bit late this year to be answering, but I've been wanting for most of this year to read The Book of the War (The Faction Paradox). Unfortunately I don't have much time for reading of late, although I hope that that will change in due course

See it's with questions like these that you have to think carefully about the implications. I'd like to say I'd go into the world of Harry Potter, but there's no guarantee that me relocating there would suddenly make me a wizard as opposed to a muggle. I could 'cheat' and go with novelisations of TV shows I like, such as Doctor Who, although again you can't be certain you'd be the companion. To give an actual answer though, I might go with the Deltora books, for while there would be danger there'd also be consistent wonderment of the bizarre

This is interesting, because I tend to focus on the story rather than the characters that contribute to it, so this is something I haven't really thought about before. Having given it some thought, I've got an answer, but allow me to talk through my thought processes first.
To reduce my options, I'm going to assume the parameters of canonically official couples, not ones that are just suggested or are fandom ships, and I'll be looking at couples as a single unit, not just the people making it up, because some of my favourite characters might be in relationships, but I wouldn't call them my favourite couple.
I'd like to say my answer would come from a book, this being goodreads and all, or at least from a play/radio series/video game, but, for better or worse, I have to pick one from a TV series. And I watch a lot of TV series. Going through them, I eventually came up with a short list, but me being the indecisive person I am I couldn't reduce it to just one favourite. Therefore, I shall use the one that should be the easiest to explain.
I realise there are those that criticise this show for giving an unfair representation of nerds, but the favourite fictional couple I've chosen is Sheldon and Amy from The Big Bang Theory. This is because I find myself able to empathise to agree with both parties, and so enjoy seeing their relationship blossom. As someone who both sometimes struggles with social interactions and who has been known to accept waiting patiently for the person I've fallen for no matter how hard it can be, it's great to see that kind of relationship somehow realised, even if it is exaggerated for the show.

Painfully, unfortunately. The one thing I can say is with so many book and script ideas rattling around my brain, if I get stuck on my current work, I can shift my focus to another project until I come up with a solution from the back of my mind.

For the full, long answer you'd probably be better reading it on my blog (it was explained in one of my first posts), but long story short, I had this idea for a massive interconnected series of books building up a whole multiverse, and I realised I needed a way to open it. I don't remember how many of the specifics came about, but I decided the events of Gift of the Mancynn were the best to introduce my worlds. It made most sense.

For better or worse, I have the sort of brain that is continually spewing up story ideas. Every day I'll get flashes of potential plot lines. Thankfully nowadays they're usually linked to what I'm already writing, meaning I'm constantly instinctively coming up with what I'm going to write next.

I think probably it's the realising of the world you've spent so long creating in your head, finally making them publically available so anyone can enjoy them as much as you, the creator, does.

I am currently in the process of editing my second novel, Archk of Angels, the sequel to my first novel, Gift of the Mancynn. I am also writing the first draft of my third book, Celestial Coup, as well as practicing with screenplay scripts.
