A song and a bad day. The song comes from the soundtrack of The Swan Princess: This Is My Idea. The two main leads are doing everything they can to avoid each other while their parents try to get them together. My bad day was one where everything kept going wrong, so much so it was ridiculous;y humorous when it was over. Throw them together and I got Not My Idea.

Oh, everywhere! Music inspires me. Conversations with friends inspires me. Life in general can be inspiring as well.

Hard question. I think I would go to the world of Scott Westerfeld's Leviathan trilogy. Steampunk, science fiction fun! I'm not exactly sure what I would do there, besides be an airman with Deryn Sharp and fly!

I have one piece of advice I tell everyone: do your research! When you do, you can have absolute confidence in every detail and if anyone questions decisions you make, you can pull out your research and explain.

While I have several fictional couples that I adore (and most of them are from Jane Austen's works), there is one that I can't get enough of. They are Miss Anne Elliot and Captain Frederick Wentworth.
I love them so much because of how faithful they are to each other despite everything that they endure.

I've been working on a trilogy set in -what else?- the Regency era. While it has some slight romance in it, it is more a mystery. Juliet Sinclair masquerades as a maid to discover exactly why she's hearing rumors that her dead father and brother were traitors in the war. She has to work in the confines of her role to do this, and as the secrets of the past come to light, she has to live with the consequences.
With the second book just completed as a first draft, and the first in editing stage, I'm really excited about this project.

Creating worlds and characters that people enjoy. I love books, but I can't always find the kind of books I like: no sex, no violence, but interesting plots and characters. So, I began writing the kind of stories I would read.

It depends on what I'm working on. Generally, I will take a brief break from whatever project it is and come back to it in a few days. I find that my perspective on things has changed and I can continue writing. Other times, I just plow through the block one word at a time, and my story will take an unexpected turn that inspires me to continue.
