Writer's block is a booger... but I see it as a challenger I must defeat... so I just constantly have conversations with my characters and see what they want to do... The plot of this book, the choice that was created to be made... that was NEVER going to happen... I was stuck, and that's where we ended up!

Every has something they love to do. Paint, build, sing, and in my case, I love writing. And when you love it, it makes you happy when you're doing it. Being a professor and raising a family and maintaining a household doesn't always permit me to write as much as I'd like, so now writing has become a treat. The best kind. If I accomplish something, I plop down with my laptop as a reward... if I spend a wonderful day with my kids, treating them to fun and excitement, then the evening is mine to write away. It eases my stress and helps me to forget other scary grown-up issues that make their way in...

There is one answer you will always hear as an aspiring writer- keep aspiring! Don't EVER give up. But be bold enough to know that if your current formula isn't working, don't be afraid to try and change it; for example, you can network with all the incredible supportive authors out on social media, you can find local writing groups online or in your city to read your work and offer advice or help with plotting. You can take classes even... but the key is that you KEEP writing. So many people tell me, I want to write a book, but I don't know how! I tell them, the book isn't going to write itself! Even if you start off with a short story, just write!

After releasing THE WAY BACK TO US, I was pleasantly surprised to be sought out on social media and contacted by readers who were asking me if I had a book two coming out, which would tell the story of the brother who deserved his own happy ending... He's wonderful, too, after all. He just needs his time to find who he is after enduring so much. So my answer is yes! As you requested, I am! Right now, I'm plotting book two in The Way Back To Us series, for the brother who deserves his own happy ending. :)
