Tough question because it can be anything. For example, while going garage saleing one Saturday I happened upon a white Victorian shoe planter. It kept calling out to me and I kept going back and picking it up. I finally bought it and have a great story idea inspired by the shoe.

Writer's block, every writer's worst enemy.
I go somewhere else to write. For example, in finishing Simply to Die For last June, I found that going to either the park (until it got to darn hot here in Oklahoma to at the park during the day) or McDonalds worked wonders!
Sometimes a change of scenery really helps.
Also, I have gone back to "old school" where I start writing in a notebook with a pen/pencil. There's something about physically putting the words to paper that makes it personal.

Hi, I am currently working on my first Western Historical! I'm really excited about this new genre and can't wait for it to come out in September 2016. It'll be released in the box set Wanted: One Bride along with great authors like Callie Hutton, Peggy McKenzie, and Heidi Vanlandingham. I have a series idea, and I hope to be able to get book 2 out to you in 2017.
I also have edits for my first Romantic Suspense (it's been a year of firsts for me :) called Simply To Die For, which is going to be part of the Black Horse Canyon (tentative title) series.
