Hi Chris, m-meat to please you. I don't usually do the ask an author thing because I get like Jonathan & have good intentions but the wrong thing comes out of the right end or the right thing comes out of the wrong end. However, whatever end this is coming out of, hopefully you'll read it and not be disgusted. Loved the first Jonathan Fairfax book & eager to read the second. Do you plan to write more in the series?

Christopher Shevlin Oh, um, hello Joel. Yes, yes I do. I’m just trying to finish the second draft of the third book now. This one’s set in Berlin, and is meant to be a bit like The Spy Who Came In From The Cold crossed with The Bourne Identity, but stupider, and with Jonathon in it. You’d be very welcome to be a test reader when I’ve finished it, which means you'd get a free early copy.

I’m really glad you liked the first book. And thanks for negotiating the minefield of things and ends – I think yours is the first Goodreads question I’ve ever had. Happy new year and so forth, Chris.

Thanks for the reply. I’m one of the lazy readers and I have the attention span of a gnat on meth so audiobooks are my jam. I’ve been eyeing this series on amazon for a while hoping an audio addition would happen so I was super duper excited to finally see it on audible. Hope to hear it soon and thanks again. ?

Christopher Shevlin Hello Stephanie, I've just heard that the audiobook edition's out today. Sorry it's taken so long – I didn't realise it'd been delayed again. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it if you do decide to listen. I hope it's at least as good as gnat meth.

Why does the audible release date for the Jonathon Fairfax series keep changing? It was initially scheduled for 9/12 then 9/19 and now its 9/26.... What’s the deal?

Christopher Shevlin Hello Stephanie, it’s fairly likely to be my fault, as it’s taken me ages to send them the cover artwork. Also, I agonised for ages over the decision about whether to sell the audio rights or try to do it myself, because it was hard to find a narrator I’m happy with. But I visited WF Howes on Monday and sat in on the recording, and I’m very happy with it now. The narrator’s an actor called Finlay Robertson, and I think he’s really good. They’ve finished recording PAJF now, so that should be out when they say. And they’re recording JFMBD next month. Thanks for asking - I’m really glad to hear someone’s interested in the audiobooks.
