Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
D. John Watson The idea came to me as a mental picture of my hero floating over a dais, surrounded by ethereal lights. It started as a black and white sketch and then a color drawing before it became a story.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
D. John Watson The best thing is the ability to create my own realities, whether it's another time or another world. Since I'm a fiction writer, I have a lot more latitude t.o shape my stories and characters

How do you deal with writer’s block?
D. John Watson I usually have a couple projects going at the same time so I switch off to something else until the blockage clear
