i'd really like to read your books because the premises are so appealing but i can't find them! i see some paperbacks for sale on amazon but i'm currently living in italy -- any advice? i'd love to read your books in ebook form since i have a kindle
Mike Kleine E-book versions for all of my books will eventually become available--let's keep the fingers crossed. For now, Kanley Stubrick is the only text with native e-book support (via Amazon). I do not have a timeline for when this will all be completed/resolved.

What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Mike Kleine I would like to read Borne by Jeff Jeff VanderMeer as well as something by Joan Didion (anything, really). Also, probably, will read Jarett Kobek's new book & DLTLPS by Gabriel Corbera (or some sort of indie comic book).

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Mike Kleine I don't sit around and think about it. I'll read a book. Watch a movie. Listen to music. Walk around the neighborhood. My biggest complaint each day, "There just isn't enough time in the day to do everything I want to do."

Mike Kleine My origin story.

How do you get inspired to write?
Mike Kleine From everything and everywhere! That walk into the grocery store. That fog from earlier this morning. That one thing a character said in a film I watched last week. The way that avocado tasted yesterday afternoon. The scent of a new shampoo I am using. The phone conversation that lasted 2 hours...

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Mike Kleine The fact that you can literally do ANYTHING.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Mike Kleine Read books but don't just read books everyone else is reading. There isn't enough time in the world for that. Read authors you really like and then, if they recommend something, read that too!

Goodreads, also, is a really great platform for discovery.

As for writing, try and write about a topic you are super passionate about and then it'll just start to pour out of you--you'll see!
