Hi Gregory, nice to hear from you! Yes, I remember you and I remember your book! I am not on here much these days (very little time with current pursuits) and so I'm just seeing this now. We are doing well, but "troubling times" is right. Grateful for God's goodness and for the Body of Christ. Hope you are well!

I can hardly believe it myself, but I just finished a Christmas novel! Not merely the usual Christmas romance, this incorporated a kind of country versus urban tug between the protagonists, and along with that the pull the past has on us and its implications to shape our future.
It was a ton of fun and kept me in the holiday spirit past New Year's!

Just for fun I figured I'd take a stab at a Christmas novel. The ideas flowed from my own Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and its very different geographical characteristics and history. It was fun tying in geography, history, and the holidays to weave a tale of romance and reflection at a time of year when we commemorate tradition but also look forward to the new year and its possibilities.
Add to that all the SNOW we get and here's a recipe for a cozy, Christmas read!

Being a writer is like conceiving and giving birth to a brand new child, without the 3 a.m. wake-ups. The best part about it is that the ideas themselves come from the Creator of all things, and it's something fun and purposeful and stimulating that we get to do together. Just like with physical conception, and indeed with the creation of the universe, in the very beginning little is visible and what is there has no form. And then suddenly, the work begins to take shape, and features start emerging. And then there's the point in which the writing has indeed taken on a life of its own, and you feel that while you had a hand in the initial act, you're now kind of just along for the ride. What will these characters do next? What are they thinking? How will they react to the variables that are coming into their world? And these little "children" that you've given birth to in print will outlive you for generations, and be their own legacy and inheritance, hopefully to inspire and delight others long after you're gone.
