I got the seed ideas for The Society while I was unemployed and living in my parent's basement. The town they were living in at the time, while nice and filled with great people, gave me a really skeevy feeling that there was something kind of sinister about it.
I also once saw something standing on the staircase that led to my folks' basement that I will never be able to explain. That got me into ghost hunting and drove the plot of my book.

The current series of books I am writing, The Society, is based on a 7 month stretch I spent being unemployed and living in my parent's house in a town that gave me a real 'there's something wrong with this place' vibe, and something I saw and cannot explain standing on their basement stairs.

I'm working on book 4 of the Society series while I wait for my wife and mother to edit book 3 so I can release it. I'm also working up an idea for a Sci-Fi detective story and a book of musings about the people int his world that it's still OK to hate.

When I build the audience it takes to stop being a Logistics Manager and start being a real life writer...I'm pretty sure the best thing will be the freedom of a daily grind. Which I am really not built for.

Writer's block isn't something that I normally have to deal with. I kind of know where my stories are headed and I'm very precise in how I plot them out...until the characters start doing their own thing...so I just kind of follow my map or follow my cast and I generally get where I am going. Distractions on the other hand...It's amazing how distracting top ten lists of things I didn't know about something or someone can ruin a good afternoon of writing.
