My current book is a fantasy novel, but it's based to some extent on the Tibetan situation - a country which has been invaded and in which people are trying to free themselves from an oppressive system. However there is magic involved, so it's definitely a fictional piece. I'm enjoying the freedom that gives me to invent people, places and situations.

So far I have not really had this problem. My first two books dealt with my own experiences, so one thing led quite logically to another, and I was never short of things to write about. I'm now working on a novel, and there have been times when I've been stuck, wondering where it's going to next. However I find if I keep it in the back of my mind and think about it at quiet moments, sooner or later something will come. I also think it's important to just write - get the main story down and then go back and revise and improve it.
