Amara I just started working on the second book of AWAKE. I scribe longhand and have a yellow legal pad that is just for that tale. The plan is to type it up when I fill the pad, on Google Docs and open to the public, just like I did with the first. Seeing my friends and family and folk online reading the story really kept me inspired to keep writing, keep filling it in, to find out what's next for Titian.

I am so grateful to everyone who has bought a paperback or used the pay-what-you-will feature to give back. I think that it is a balance in all arts and for all artists to give freely to the world without commerce or strings and to keep enough money flowing in to support their needs and the material needs of their creation process.
Amara Being a writer is only one of the ways that I express myself and create. I am also a theatrical scenic and costume designer (yes, I count that as one thing) and I am a painter (which oddly includes sketching, cartooning, & calligraphy). So, I am under no pressure to write.

After finishing AWAKE, I did not do more than sketch out bits and pieces for a long time....let's see...4 years. I did not know where it started, so all the fragments of the world that I imagined and possible plots had no context. It isn't writer's block to know that you don't have all the dots yet.

When I want to write but have no story in mind, I write stories for children. There is always inspiration to be found in the wonder of discovering the world.
