I lost a dear friend, beta reader and reviewer in the spring of 2021 just as I was getting ready to write my next Christmas book. Out of the blue I remember how much she loved Christmas and how she was decorator extraordinaire. She had this massive Christmas village she and her husband put up every year and friends and family all came to see it. It put my paltry tree and decorations to shame. In a flash the story and series came to me as if she were on my shoulder telling me what to write and that's how Santa Comes to Snowside, Vermont Christmas Romance, book 11 of the Murphy Clan series came about.

A romantic action/adventure set on the coast of northern Maine. I just love these characters. It's currently titled Izzy O'Keefe Saves the Day.

Typing the end! Ha, while that's true, I also love developing new fictional towns and I'm starting to turn my office into the town by posting pictures of the area I'm setting it in all over my office. What's really gratifying is hearing from my readers! That makes all the hard work so worthwhile.

Ton's. Just finished the latest Bill Clinton/James Patterson, The President's Daughter, a historical by Alan Brennert, Honolulu, Digging up Trouble, a cozy mystery by Kitt Crowe, and I've been reading a later in life series Once Again by Jennifer Skully. Her most recent Holiday release is Under the Northern Lights. I just finished a nonfiction that is a favorite Humour Seriously by Jennifer Maker and Naomi Bagdonas. What are you reading? I'm always looking for the next awesome read.

I do! I have a family member who worked for the government and had some kind of exposure, then shortly after developed an almost unheard of disease that slowly killed her. Even a relative in the CIA couldn't get answers. Intriguing, don't you think? I see a potential story here, don't you? 👀🕵️♂️🕵️♀️

To all of my fictional towns, Paradise Falls, Hope's Crossing, Snowside, and a new one I'm working on the coast of Maine still untitled. I would also love to go to Star's Hollow. I'm a huge Gilmore Girls fan!

Writer's block for me I've discovered is fear. When I can't write it's because I'm afraid I can't write a whole book. Even after 11 books I'm always fearful of this. When I'm stuck on a scene is rather than stress about it, I go for a walk or run and the answer almost always comes to me. And I'll be huffing and puffing recording it into my phone which is challenging to listen to later. 😂😂😂
