This answer might be a little bit of a cheat, because the fictional town I'd go to is also a real town. But . . . I'd go to Boston and find all the places the main character Spenser went (restaurants, his office, his house, Susan's house, Boston Commons . . . ) and I would take pictures of them all. I'd put the pictures together in a coffee table book. I love how Robert B. Parker made Boston come alive in his books. I would love to walk the streets as Spenser did.

It's not really a mystery, but more life drama that will be in GPJ book 5. I have to give it some thought, but one of the characters will have a medical scare with blood clots in the brain--something I've just gone through and am recovering from.

My favorite fictional couple is probably Robert B. Parker's Spenser and Susan Silverman. Their connection is one of the deepest I can think of. The love, passion, and longevity of their relationship is amazing.
