While I was vacationing in the mountains of Montana, I was struck by the pure beauty of our planet, by the primal connection humans have with horses, and I began to think about what it would be like for humans who hadn't been been born on Earth to visit and experience this place, which most people take for granted.

Sitting down and writing is the key to being a writer. If you love doing it, keep doing it, and try to improve as you go. Don't compare yourself to the greats, they didn't start as greats, they started small, but they were persistent, and prioritized writing over many other things in their lives.
