You mean, aside from being able to do what I love for a living?
I would say, aside from being able to do what I love for a living, the best thing about it is the fact that I can set my own schedule. I don't have to follow someone else's schedule and work the hours they set for me. I can work whenever I want, whether that's first thing in the morning, after dinner in the evening, or in the middle of the night when inspiration (or insomnia) strikes.

I'm in the planning stages of a new idea. Well, it's actually an older idea that I've had for a while, but something about it simply wasn't working. I'd made changes, and still couldn't make it work, so I finally set it aside. I read a comment in a forum somewhere, and it jiggled something loose in my brain, and made it all click for how this could work. So I'm now going back and re-planning everything and tweaking things and doing some final organization so I can start the actual writing.
