Nia Forrester Hi!
My website is back up and running. You can find all the new and upcoming books listed there. Thanks for the interest!

Nia Forrester So sorry to have taken so long to respond to this! Thank you for your kind words about Snowflake. I do have a soft spot for that couple. And I would love to do more audiobooks. And for sure the two couples you've mentioned would be good ones to tackle. Not sure when it'll happen, but hopefully soon.
Nia Forrester Shameful that I've not seen this question before! The inspiration for writing about love in the world of baseball came from reality television! I think it was Basketball Wives that made me think of it. And I definitely feel compelled to do more sports romance.
Nia Forrester I think my favorite is 'The Fall', Michelle. Because it has a fair dose of romance, but a healthy dollop of realism and women's fiction as well. I think writing about the characters from the Commitment series is something I do often because it's both enjoyable and, quite honestly, easy. I know them so well at this point that it's not difficult to follow them into new and different circumstances, nor to widen their circle. But having said that, after 2017, I hope to challenge myself more by writing about completely unrelated characters.
Nia Forrester Oh, I wish I had a profound answer. But I don't. I think some ideas just come to you while you sleep. I do get great ideas from readers sometimes though. At least two of my books happened because a reader said, 'Wouldn't it be interesting if ...?'
Nia Forrester I can't say I need 'inspiration' to write. It's just part of me. I have to do it. But I will say that there are times when a bit of overheard conversation, or a glimpse of a person, place or thing can spark a story.
Nia Forrester I am currently working on the sequel to my book 'The Come Up', and allowing a few other ideas to marinate.
Nia Forrester To keep writing, but also to keep reading across multiple genres, observing and 'stealing' as you go, all those devices that will make your own work stronger. And keeping engaged with the world is always good--that's where all the best stories come from!
Nia Forrester Never being bored. Being able to disappear into one's own head and be fully entertained.
Nia Forrester I only occasionally get writer's block, and when I do, I find the best way to cope is to wait it out. Not by being idle, but by reading new writers, or old favorites whose voices I enjoy. And even watching well-written TV shows that have strong characterization of the type that I try to write.
Nia Forrester Hi EmJay-
Thank you! I would love to release audio versions of my books. Lately I've been listening to a lot more audiobooks and so the idea has become even more appealing. It's something I plan to explore in the next year.
