Terry Ambrose I guess I'd have to say the act of creating something new is the only inspiration I need to write. I'm always observing things happening around me and there may be months in between two or three different events when, all of a sudden, I connect them and realize there's a story waiting to be told. In fact, right now I'm sifting through my mental rolodex in search of the next book topic. It's not far away and I will soon have a new story to write!
Terry Ambrose Hi Elaine, one of my projects for this summer was to get the novellas put into soft cover. Thanks to a huge home makeover project I undertook this summer, I fell hopelessly behind on that. They're coming. The project is winding down, so it shouldn't be too long! I hope you can be patient :-)
Terry Ambrose At the top of my list for this summer is a new book from Seventh Street Books, The Bloody Black Flag by Steve Gobel.
Terry Ambrose Many years ago, my identity was stolen. When I was planning Kaua‘i Temptations, I decided to use that incident as the kicking off point for the plot.

McKenna arrives home after a trip to the mainland, finds a number of notices from the bank about bounced checks, and realizes someone is writing checks on his bank account, which is now empty. This is precisely what happened in to us in real life. The only difference is that our trip was to Kaua‘i, not the mainland and the returned checks were just starting to roll in.

There is one other big difference, I didn't go hunting down the identity thief, nor did I become involved in investigating the murder of the thief when she dies in a bizarre explosion.
