This is a difficult one, but I have say my favourite fictional couple is Sherlock Holmes and Doctor John Watson. From the original tales by Arthur Conan Doyle right up to the multiple remakes from t.v series to movies, Sherlock and Watson have always been portrayed as an unbreakable duo dressed up with humour, intelligence and a deep, unspoken love that has stood the test of time. As well as speaking to audiences through the adventurous of crime solving, it also delves into human nature and the many different ways we connect with one another. It paints a bigger picture than just being clever, it teaches us about compassion, loyalty and kinsmanship.
