I got the idea for this book from reading in the BMJ (British Medical Journal) about a chemist who became quickly ill and I just knew Dr. Donne could figure out what was wrong with her.

Britt Talley Daniel It's really a lot of work. But I like the creation, the idea of the project, the research to get it started, and then the writing. But the best part is gestation of the book--when it's over and done with. Sometimes I look at one of my published books and wonder how I ever did it.
Britt Talley Daniel I just plunge on through and write not worrying about it. Later, when I see what I wrote in this condition of block, I usually like it. So, I keep it.
