Jennifer Hayden Dear Karen,

Thank you so much for the wonderful comments! Christmas in July was temporarily shelved. Christmas books can be a bit tricky. Sometimes they do well but they are obviously seasonal. That being said, its release is not out of the question. There are others lined up to come out this year. Another Callahan novel, Jed's story, should be available soon. Also, I have a couple of stand alone novels on the horizon. I love to hear from readers and I will definitely look into further storylines that take place in the Noel series. Thank you again for the question and comments! :)
Jennifer Hayden My favorite fictional couple are Dylan Stone and Baylie Sutter from Hide and Seek. Baylie is a tough as nails teacher with a childhood she doesn't remember. Dylan is a police detective determined to solve his case. Together they make a great team as they take a rough and tumble trip through Baylie's past. They have great chemistry and determination.
Jennifer Hayden Dawn,
Thank you so much for the question. The Noel Series is on hold for the time being. It's possible that another installment of it will come out in 2016. Christmas In July did not end up getting released. That one is still up in the air. If you would like more updated information, my facebook page is the way to go. Jennifer Hayden - Author. Jennifer Hayden Take a break. Too much writing when it's forced rarely turns out well for me. I usually end up doing a lot of deleting. I just take a break until I feel inspired again. Sometimes listening to music helps me too. It relaxes me and clears my head.
Jennifer Hayden Having complete control of my characters. I rarely know what's going to happen at the end of my own books until the end is upon me. I love the element of surprise and the more twists and turns I can create, the better. I also love the escape. I love losing myself in a good story.
Jennifer Hayden Write what you love. Don't give up even when you get negative feedback. Learn from criticism, even when it hurts, and keep writing. Being an author can be a very slow and frustrating process. It's definitely not a get rich quick thing for most writers. Develop a thick skin and don't be afraid to show your writing to people.
Jennifer Hayden I always have multiple projects in the works. If one doesn't pan out or the mood I'm in changes, I move onto something else. Believe it or not, right now I'm thinking about a Christmas title and it's July.
Jennifer Hayden Sometimes it's to escape something that may be bothering me in my life. Sometimes it's because I have a great idea that I can't wait to put down in a story line. Sometimes a person I run into will inspire me--people who have read my books. Positive comments always inspire me. I love to hear from my readers.
Jennifer Hayden I get ideas from all kinds of things. My mind is always spinning with possible story ideas. I'm a daydreamer at heart.
