Phyllis Sather Mothers and Daughters is a compilation of the best articles I wrote for a homeschool magazine when I had a column there for 10 years - on mothers and daughters.

One of my daughters encouraged me to update the articles and put it together.
Phyllis Sather Reading God's Word. Often times a Scripture verse will bring a thought or memory to mind. Again I jot it down so when I get time to write I'm ready.

My daughters both encourage me to write about things they would be interested in reading.
Phyllis Sather I have a book coming out on May 25th about mothers and daughters. Currently I'm working on promotions, which is easily my least favorite part of writing.
Phyllis Sather Write, write, write - and read, read, read.

Our two daughters are authors but hated to study writing when they were growing up.

But from an early age my husband has always read to us as a family. We chose to read classics and well written books so they gained a love of reading, which has really influenced their writing.

Phyllis Sather I write nonfiction, mostly things that would encourage struggling young wives and mothers. My reward is to see a young mom grasp a Biblical principle, apply it, see Jesus work, and growing to be more like Him.
Phyllis Sather I try to work through it because I don't get a great deal of time to write. When I have opportunity I need to take advantage of it. I'm often thinking about writing while I do more mindless tasks, dishes, laundry, etc. and I jot down ideas when they come. When I have time to write I get out my list.
