Angel Payne SUCH a great question. growing up in Southern California placed me at a proximity to the entertainment industry that was both fun and weird. In my 20's I was a PA (personal assistant) for a record producer, and got the chance to watch amazing artists at work--especially the hard-working studio musicians. One day, one of the guys just didn't show up for the recording session! We never found out what happened to him. The possibilities have always pushed some interesting stories into my head.
Angel Payne Hi there, Michele! So thrilled that you are loving the series! Thank you for listening! Victoria and I love the audio versions, as well. Aren't Jacob and Erin AWESOME?? The audio books of Grant's arc will come out on the same day that the actual e-books and paperbacks release--so right now, "Grant's Heat" will be available on May 5th, with "Grant's Flame" and "Grant's Blaze" to follow soon after. Thank you again for following and listening--and especially for reaching out! Truly appreciate hearing from you. :)
Angel Payne Hello, Elim! The address is: Angelpaynewrites@gmail.com.
Angel Payne Summer 2019 has been one of the BEST for readers of angsty novels, like me! I absolutely LOVED Meredith Wild's Red Ledger series, and devoured a lot of J. Kenner's Stark Security books, as well. Just starting to read "Flame" by Chelle Bliss, and I'm also looking forward to diving into Rebekah Ganiere's Fairelle series. I loved discovering some awesome YA authors too: Alice Oseman and Casey McQuiston. Their books are awesome!
Angel Payne This is going to sound dorky, but I'm working on a secret project right now with Meredith Wild that's incorporating some of my VERY favorite fictional tropes and fantasy worlds. There's honestly no place I'd rather be right now, in a fictional sense. It's so much fun to love what one is writing and creating. We cannot wait for the chance to let everyone in on the big concept for this thing!
Angel Payne It was a dark and stormy night. I was out of chocolate. The end.
Angel Payne Hi there, Vicki! Awesome to meet you, and I truly apologize for the delay in response. I was traveling, working on a secret project with the amazing photographer Regina Wamba, as well as the wonderful Brock O'Hurn and sweet Jade McKenzee. I do hope you love "Masked." Though it's #7 in the series, you do not have to read the other books to enjoy Dan and Tess's story. If you like, be sure to pick up "Mastered," which is the book directly following it. Dan and Tess make cameo appearances in that story. Happy reading, lady!
Angel Payne Hi there, Renee! THANK YOU for reaching out and so sorry it took me a little while to respond. I've been traveling, and wiFi has been spotty at best; LOL! In answer to your question: the Honor Bound books do NOT have to be read in order. The reading order is suggested but not required, because characters from other books make cameos later on down the line. But if you start out with one book as opposed to another, you''ll have enough back story to know what's going on--and every book has a self-contained story arc with an HEA. I hope you enjoy reading them!
Angel Payne Hi there, Tee! And THANK YOU for the wonderful words for the Honor Bound guys! I'm not sure who's coming after Max--but I think Leo might be a very cool choice! We'll have to see where the storyline leads. Thanks for loving the books!!
Angel Payne Hi there, Jean! Thank you so much for reaching out, and for your patience waiting for my reply. I was traveling the last few weeks, and finally catching up. I am beyond thrilled that you're excited about diving into Ethan and Ava's story, and I hope you love it! Looking forward to hearing what you think of all the Honor Bound books. Appreciative that you're taking time to give me a try. TAKE CARE!
Angel Payne Hello there!! I am very happy to state that "Misadventures with a Time Traveler" will be released this November--and you can preorder it now on all major bookseller sites! THANK YOU for your interest in the story, and I truly hope you love Max and Allie's story!
Angel Payne LOL! Yes, way! I'm totally dating myself here, but I started as a college intern then continued in the marketing dept. for a bit after that. Don't laugh, but I was there when KROQ was still situated in Pasadena, over a dry cleaners and--I think a Chinese food place? I used to go get lemonades for Blade up the street at the "Hot Dog on a Stick" in the mall, and answer the request line at that little desk in the hallway as Eagle talked in Swedish to his mom in the next office over. And yes, I was one of the interns on that crazy "Surf and Ski Classic" event where the bus with the competitors almost went over the side of the road on their way to Mtn. High! I was sitting there with a hundred drunk listeners, thinking, "OMG, we just killed Danny Elfman." (Thank God we didn't!) That was back in the days of Richard Blade, Swedish Eagle, Jed the Fish, and Dusty Street. OMG, I'm so old.

Angel Payne Susan: GREAT question! The books are still available--but when I got my rights back on them from the first publisher, I re-covered them and re-titled them. The Books are now known as the SUITED FOR SIN series, and are retitled as follows: "Three-Part Harmony" is now "Suited for Sin: SING" ... "Permanent Marker" is now "Suited for Sin: SIGH" ... and "Star of Wonder" is now "Suited for Sin: SUBMIT". Hope this helps? Much love!!
Angel Payne Hi there, Susan!! You are correct, doll. They are one and the same. The name of the series was changed, and the titles altered a bit for marketability, when Waterhouse Press purchased the series from me in Summer 2017. The only differences will be some added content to Book 4 (yes, I finally wrote Wyatt and Josie's story!) , and possibly some changes to Book 9, with Sam and Jenny. There will also be a Book 11 and 12, coming in 2019! THANK YOU for your love and support!
Angel Payne Hello there! Thank you so much for reaching out! I am so appreciative of your support for this series, and happy that you enjoyed the books in their "WILD Boys" form. This past summer, the series caught the attention of the team at Waterhouse Press, and they extended an offer to buy all 10 of the existing books--with the chance to publish two more after that! So...great news! There will be more of the team coming soon! Because of the purchase, the books titles needed to be altered a little, to reflect consistency with the brand and be more current with market trends. I regret that the pricing is a little higher as well, but again is bearing more consistently with romantic suspense books with such large word counts to them. Sincerely hope you will enjoy the new content that is coming in this world, beginning in 2019--and again, thank you for the support! It truly means more than you know.
Angel Payne Hello there! And from the bottom of my heart, thank you for the beautiful words about Reece and Emma's story. I absolutely loved getting to write it--and am thrilled to say that the Misadventures book is now, officially, going to be the prequel to a 15-novella series called the Bolt Saga. It debuts in June 2018--and we have some more exciting announcements about it coming up soon!
Angel Payne Hi there, Milena! I truly apologize that it took me so long to answer you. I have no idea why I didn't see this question before now! To answer your question: the WILD Boys are STILL in existence, only now they've been reimagined as the Honor Bound series. The amazing team at Waterhouse Press purchased the backlist from me, and have also requested two NEW books for the series, as well! The series will be re-launched in December 2017. You can see all the info here: http://www.waterhousepress.com/waterh...
THANK YOU so much for your support of the Boys!

Angel Payne Katherine!! Hi there!! GREAT question. I was told by many throughout my life to be a writer, but never took it completely seriously until I read Jude Deveraux's Velvet series. After I finished, I missed the characters so much--and I said to myself, "I would LOVE to make someone feel this way, too." After that, you could say I was hooked.
Angel Payne Kimberley! THANK YOU for this message and I am appalled that it took so long to respond. I just saw it now and am trying to figure out why, because the last time I check GR's messages was about a month ago. Right now, I'm planning 9 books in the WILD Boys series. Book 8, MASTERED BY THE MAVERICKS, will be out in November 2015, with Book 9, READY FOR THEIR RULE, out in Summer 2016. I am THRILLED you love the books and THANK YOU for your support!
