I am currently writing Finding Me and You, which is the sequel to my romance novel, The Light Between Us. It is sloop going because I also recently had a baby, so I'm not sure when I expect to release the sequel by. Thanks for hanging in there with me!

It depends on the source of the block. If it's based in burnout or fatigue, I'll take a break, or find a different mode of creativity for a little while. I'll also make sure to fill my well (in the words of Julia Cameron) by taking in lots of good art, writing, etc. If the block is based in fear (which almost 100% of my "blocks" are), then I'll keep writing, because the only way out is through. Fun? Not really. But necessary, for me at least.

What I love about being a writer is the freedom. You can make up anything, write any story, anywhere. You set your own hours, make your own rules, and get all the glory and responsibility. And especially as an independent author, you are in control of the work. I think that's exhilarating.
