Writer's block can be very frustrating but can provide some wonderful opportunities. I often go back to earlier scenes and revise them, which exercises the literary muscles and gives rise to new ideas. I also find actual exercise to be very helpful--going for a run helps me to break through these blocks. Some of my best scenes have developed over a jog. The key is not forgetting anything before I make it home--inspiration to run faster.
