Lindsay Chamberlin A couple of things: 1) Be ready to pay a bit of money for book cover designs, formatting costs, and editing services, etc., and to spend some time preparing your book for self publishing; 2) Any free marketing tool available, use it! It's the indie author's job to get themselves out there; and 3) Be in it for the right reasons. I also knew that this woman had a hurtful past, but she was trying to overcome it, and fulfill a favor. The rest of the story compounded around this one moment. The characters, the setting, the drama; it all was born from one glimpse at a moment in the storyline.
