I don't really plot. I just have a vague idea and let the characters lead the way.

That is actually a difficult question to answer. I read a great deal and was always looking for more and more books to read. I loved to play outdoors with my friends, but I also needed quiet time for my reading and my attempts at writing. Reading was such a great way to "visit" other places and people.

My most recent published book, "Crash Landing" came from my reading about females in the military. I saw a beautiful female officer interviewed on TV and a week or two later the helicopter she was piloting was shot down and she was killed. I also have admired Senator Tammy Duckworth whose helicopter she was piloting was shot down and she lost both of her legs. But, in general I have felt great compassion for all the females in our military, they don't seem to get the recognition they deserve. I'm told this is the best book I've written so far.

It just seems I am always inspired to write. I had given up my writing for many, many years and now that I have the time to write, I seem to be always writing. As my Editor, Debra Stang, says, once I started to write again, it is as though the damn has burst. And, I'm loving it!

I'm currently writing a lesbian romance novella about twins, which offers some humor, but the main point in my story is about a transgender. The main character's brother is/has finally made her change. I was well into the writing of this story when Catlyn (sp?) Jenner gave her wonderful interview. This subject truly is our society's current issue. This book will be published in about six months; still to be titled.

Never give up, never give up, never give up. Don't let others or life get in the way. Its what you need to do.

There are sooo many things I could mention! Mostly I guess I like being alone in my fiction world and watching/experiencing my characters come alive. Its sort of like reading a story as it unfolds in front of me.

Fortunately, I have never experienced writer's block. Thank goodness!
