If people would really take my advice, I would tell them to stop writing -- especially the writers who are writing in my field. If all of the other writers would stop writing and I didn't have as much competition, maybe my books would sell better.
Ok, on a serious note, try to find (or create) long periods of uninterrupted time for writing. I find it hard to write in short periods of time. I like to spend at least a half a day at a time writing when I'm working on a book.

There are three things I like about being a writer:
1. I can travel full time in my motorhome and still make a living.
2. After I finish a book I continue to receive income for years to come.
3. It's a little like playing the lottery. I never know when I might have a winning ticket (I mean book).

Since I write How-to books and not fiction, I don't have any problem with writers' block. I just write about what I know and what I'm doing.

Since I'm writing about what I'm doing (living in a motorhome), there's no problem getting inspired.
