Hi Delores! I have spent the better part of this year promoting The Love Labyrinth before it came out as an e-book and paperback as well as afterwards and now as an audiobook. But I have also been working on two other projects this year.

I'm currently revamping several manuscripts I wrote before my published novel, Relations. One is titled, Labyrinth and the other, Hunger.

I got the idea for my novel, Relations, from traveling a lot around the U.S., Canada and other areas for my job. It reminded me of a circus, setting up and breaking down the conference rooms and training rooms and watching from the wings so to speak, while the instructors did their thing. One day I was daydreaming about it and my main protagonist, Frank Ellis, was born. Instead of being an instructor, he morphed into a financial consultant.

When I was very young, I used to draw cartoons. After a while, they became animated stories and it just was a natural progression from there.

Don't let naysayers sway you; however, listen to constructive criticism, for example, tips on proofreading, editing, etc. Sometimes you have to spend money, even if you are self-publishing. If you feel that your work is worth it, you must invest in the time and money to get it to a professional level. Don't think that you can just fling it out there and damn the critics.

A lot of writers seem to believe that you should fight your way through it. I just go and do something else. Eventually, something will wake me up in the night and the story will make its way back to me.
Once several years ago, I did have writer's block and decided to write a Western short story. The people I knew that read it liked it and some of them kept clamoring for a sequel so I wrote one. Afterwards, my writer's block was gone.
