On my list are Isaiah's Daughter by Mesu Anderws, Sheba by Jill Eileen Smith, and Cliff Graham's newest release. I'll probably read more than what I have indicated here, but I never know what until the time comes. I'll update when I select my books.

I don't have any mysteries in my life, but I am a pretty darn creative thinker and it does not take me long to conjure up something.

Hi Julie,
Yes, I do believe fear of being judged prevents Christians from witnessing, and understandably so. God's truth is not popular these days, so resistance meets the Christian and sometimes it can be too much for a Christian to bear. I'm not sure why it is easier for your son to share his faith. I do believe that our life experiences, personalities, and context shape the frequency and boldness of our witness. For example, it is very difficult for me to witness to others on the job. And sometimes I don't. But there are those times when I seek God in prayer for boldness of Spirit to witness despite my fears. I believe the Holy Spirit will guide you in this area.

Writing is akin to a pregnancy. It is great to conceive an idea and then see it borne in the form of a published work. The best thing about being a writer is that I work at my own pace and write what inspires me. Writing gives me a certain freedom that is unattainable in other types of workplaces.

Sometimes an idea stays in my head with no real direction. At times like those, I walk away from the text and get involved in something else, e.g. going out with friends, shopping or anything not related to my writing at the time--usually, a clearance unexpectedly pops in my head, and I'm like, "ah, this is it!" and I'm back at it.

Life inspires me, whether the experiences are good or bad. I love bringing words to life.

From observing millennials and others who joined church. It bothered me that few of them returned and most of them kept a worldly perspective.
